I was searching to create another income stream separate to my traditional business income. Something that would help me break free from the constraints of my traditional business. My mentor Robert Kiyosaki suggested in his books, that to learn the skills needed to build a big business network you either invested a great deal of money into a big business or you start an MLM business and learn while you earn.

I chose the later….

First I began with researching 3 different companies in slightly different fields checked out the Company, leaders, compensation plans and the products. I searched the internet filled in the contact forms and waited for a response. After 3 weeks of procrastination I joined a Company and plugged into their system. This is where I need to point out I wish I knew then what I know now.
I did the initial training, wrote out my list of 100 names of friends and family and set some short, medium and long term goals.
I live 3 hours from a major capital city, where all the action seemed to be, but I was committed and if I was to succeed I needed to be there, so I travelled to the meetings, and the training, but seemed to be doing more of that than building my business. I bought leads, sent out flyers, cold called and sent people to a generic company site all the while being told by my upline.

I am certain by now this is sounding all too familiar to you so I will cut to the chase…

After 19 months of building my business it collapsed, my upline leader decided to change Companies and took 70% of my upline and downline with him. I had no business I was back to square one.

I strongly believed in the MLM model so I set about rebuilding my business, researched and employed different strategies to the traditional MLM strategies that my former upline had taught me and these are the cutting strategies and information that I want to share with you.
